They added the lights to the laydown processing area here pictured Jan 2011 so could work at least 12 hours/day-even Baja only has ca 9 1/2 hrs light in Jan.
There are companies who sell portable lighting units run by solar or generators which they could possibly add to the outlying excavating areas also
