Pure speculation on the pending litigation:
The complaint does not list FITX. RXNB, AJOA, and WP have filed suit against PHOT and OGI. What do these companies do? RXNB is a pharmaceutical company, engaged in technology development and holding patents for expedited blossoming and strain development. WP's President is Sam Alawieh, the holder of numerous marijuana patents. Therefore, I personally think that the patents here are the rub, but we have no way to know until next week... this is just a guess.
These companies are NOT backing the tracks up and blowing up this whole deal over this. These two companies have more to lose than gain if they were to walk away now, JMO. But, if it is a patent potentially worth a few million, they will fight for control of it .
By the way, it doesn't have to be a patent... just an example. But it seems like it. Could PHOT's deal with LEAF Aspen want to use these patents for their grow? Are they going to share them with VAPE as part of the signed LOI? Who knows. But we do know it is something 'less than deadly' along similar lines of the FB post is to be believed.
My gut here is that short term the fear drives the PPS lower, but it doesn't last a very long time. This appears by all accounts to be rather minor and this scenario is altogether too common in large, complex deals like this .
Can things change? YES. Things can escalate.
