Well, Weedman, I don't know you or anybody else here but there are some points I would like to address.
Fist, you said that no one gets banned. A few days ago, however, a person wrote something mildly questioning some of the comments on this board and someone wrote in that they had reported him to the monitor and they hoped that he would be banned. A big discussion took place after that with some saying he should be banned and some saying he should not. What was that all about?
I have been reading this board for a while and I held my fire until I felt that I was starting to get a feeling for what was going on here. It seems that, as with most boards, there is a core group who posts frequently, habitually, and who seem to set the tone for the rest of the board. It is always that way with the various boards I have observed. Because there are a few who post frequently, however, does not mean that they own the board. Many are afraid to disagree with these "leaders' and thus, do not post to the board. I, however, have no problem speaking what I perceive to be truth. If I am wrong, I will admit it once I figure it out. At this time, I do not see where I have done or said anything wrong however, and so I stand by what I said.
You say you are satisfied with what you have found here. Because you are satisfied with the answers you have found does not mean anything, however. You should know that. A lot of people are satisfied with things as they are because they do not care to delve further into the issues. What does anyone's "satisfaction" have to do with anything? The answer is that satisfaction should be the last arrow in anyone's intellectual quiver. Socrates said that he would rather be a philosopher unsatisfied than a pig satisfied. I believe it is very apparent that he placed no value on one's satisfaction as a measure of the value of his state of being.
I never said that anyone was an idiot as you infer. One's perceptions determine one's reality. If one believes that one who questions is attacking then one will believe that one is calling names or is a basher when those things are not necessarily true. I am not attacking anyone. I am questioning. I am looking for the truth.
My comment on being the biggest grower in the world or whatever it was, was not meant to disparage anyone's efforts at being successful at what he is doing. My comment was meant - as I stated - to state that being the biggest is not all that there is. It is also very important to understand why we are fighting for legalization of marijuana. It is so that people will be given a choice, so that people will be set free - from disease and from government tyranny. Making money is nice but there is more to this fight than that. FITX should address that to their own advantage.
You said, "Don't you DARE, etc.". Sounds like a threat to me.
You say that I have not contributed. What am I doing now? Just because I am not leading cheers does not mean that what I post is not a contribution. I have bought FITX with my hard earned money. Don't you DARE to tell me that I do not have a right to speak as I wish, even though I may be outside of the party line.
This is my contribution. Some will understand and appreciate it. Others will not. We all make our choices.
