Lucy Hale to Hang w/ the Cast of Pretty Little Liars at a Live Table Read

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., March 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hang w/, the live-streaming social media mobile app, today announced that Lucy Hale will use the Hang w/ application tomorrow night to share an exclusive behind the scenes peek from the cast's live table read in advance of the season finale of Pretty Little Liars. The Hang w/ application allows Lucy to give her fans exclusive live access to this special event that has been reserved only for industry insiders and those close to the show.

The Hang w/ platform allows users to "hang with" celebrities and each other via live-streaming video and simultaneous chat on a mobile device. User's real-time broadcasts can be shared with thousands and potentially millions of followers at once.

Top teen drama Pretty Little Liars is a mystery thriller that follows the lives of a clique of four girls whose lives are thrown into turmoil by a mysterious unseen character known only as "A." Now in its fifth season, the show has built to an exciting season finale. Aria Montgomery, played by Lucy Hale, is a featured member of the foursome.

Since the series premiere, the show has remained popular, with its highest rated episode attracting 4.22 million viewers. Lucy Hale has won consecutive Teen Choice Awards from 2010 to 2013 and a People's Choice Award for her role on the series.

During the exclusive Hang w/ broadcast, Hale will participate in a table read, where actors prepare for an upcoming taping by reviewing a script together.

"Hanging with my fans has been a blast. When I've got my phone with me, I've got my fans with me," said Lucy Hale. "I've brought them to rehearsals, radio show appearances and places they'd never normally get to see. Now I'll be able to share an amazing look behind the scenes from a table read with my Pretty Little Liars co-stars."

"Lucy brings an exciting new group of users to the Hang w/ platform," said Hang With, Inc. co-founder and CEO Andrew Maltin. "And the fact that ABC Family and ABC's top-rated morning show are allowing Hang w/ fans such exclusive access demonstrates that major networks and entertainment properties are ready to embrace this as the future of social media engagement."
