Portland General Electric Company (NYSE: POR) today reported net income of $105 million, or $1.35 per diluted share, for the year ended Dec. 31, 2013. This compares with $141 million, or $1.87 per diluted share, for 2012. Net income was $47 million, or 59 cents per diluted share, for the fourth quarter of 2013 compared with $28 million, or 38 cents per diluted share, for the comparable period of 2012. The decrease in annual net income was largely due to the write-off of the Cascade Crossing Transmission Project and a customer billing refund in the second quarter of 2013 (49 cents per share) and incremental replacement power costs due to plant outages in the second half of 2013 (13 cents per share).
