He currently serves as a director of Landauer, Inc., Nordion Inc., and Hospira, Inc., and previously held various executive positions with Abbott Laboratories, including Executive Vice President of Global Pharmaceuticals, Senior Vice President of Pharmaceutical Operations, and Senior Vice President of International Operations. He also previously served as Chairman of the International Section of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and as Chairman of the Accelerating Access Initiative, a cooperative public-private partnership of UNAIDS, the World Bank, and six research-based pharmaceutical companies.

This dividend is payable on March 31, 2014 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 20, 2014. This brings the annualized dividend rate per share to $0.61 from $0.55.
