Duke Realty Corporation (NYSE: DRE), a leading industrial, office and medical office REIT, announced today that its operating partnership, Duke Realty Limited Partnership (the "Operating Partnership"), has closed on its previously announced public offering of $250 million aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured notes due 2021. The Operating Partnership plans to use the net proceeds from the offering, together with cash on hand, to redeem all $250 million outstanding aggregate principal amount of its 5.40% Senior Notes due August 15, 2014, which had an effective interest rate of 6.33%. The redemption price is equal to the principal amount of the notes being redeemed plus accrued interest thereon to the redemption date plus the make-whole amount. The make-whole amount is $8,057,500.
