Giga-tronics Incorporated (Nasdaq:GIGA) reported today net sales of $3.4 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2014, compared to $3.9 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2013. Net sales for the nine month period ended December 28, 2013 were $10.4 million, compared to $11.4 million for the nine month period ended December 29, 2012. The decreases in net sales were primarily due to fiscal 2013 order fulfillment for the legacy SCPM switch product which was subsequently sold to Teradyne in the first month of fiscal 2014.

Giga-tronics Incorporated (Nasdaq:GIGA) reported today net sales of $4.0 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2014, representing two consecutive quarters of increased sales when compared to net sales of $3.0 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2014, and $2.8 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013. The increases in net sales were primarily due to the Microsource business unit's fulfilling scheduled product shipments associated with long-term contracts from a large aerospace company. Giga-tronics Incorporated (Nasdaq:GIGA) reported today net sales of $3.0 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2014, an increase of 9% when compared to net sales of $2.8 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013. The increase in net sales is primarily due to the Micosource business units' progress on long term contracts from a large aerospace company. Net sales decreased 25% in the first quarter of fiscal 2014 when compared to $4.1 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2013. The decrease in net sales is primarily due to the timing of orders associated with the Signal Generator product line.

Gross margin increased by $335,000 over the same quarter last year due to an increase in the mix of sales from the Company's higher margin Microsource unit.
