Prudential plc ("Prudential"), the UK-basedfinancial services group, through its subsidiary PrudentialHoldings Limited, has reached an agreement with SBI Holdings, Inc.("SBI Holdings") to sell its closed book life insurancebusiness in Japan, PCA Life Insurance Co., Ltd. ("PCA LifeJapan") for US$85 million. The proposed transaction issubject to regulatory approval.

(Ticker: 8473 JP), to launch the Japan Founders Equity Fund (Local Japanese Ticker: 89311136 JP) ("the Fund."). The Fund provides investors with daily liquidity with a focus on investing in the publicly traded equity of Japanese businesses that are presently managed by the company's original founders. An important element to the Fund's investment philosophy is the significant alignment of interest between shareholders and management as the Fund generally invests in companies where founders have retained all of their equity investments in the organization.
