Namibia Rare Earths advances metallurgical test work at Lofdal

Namibia Rare Earths Inc. ("Namibia Rare Earths" or the "Company") (TSX: NRE) (OTCQX: NMREF) is pleased to report that it has received additional results from on-going metallurgical test work on the Area 4 heavy rare earth deposit located on the Company's Lofdal permit in northwestern Namibia. Significant improvements in grade and recoveries have been achieved on the high grade sample and the flow sheet is now being directed towards optimizing grades and recoveries of the low grade sample. Significant improvements are also reported from XRT sorting calibration tests carried out by Tomra Sorting Solutions which confirm the potential for a 50% mass reduction with consistent high recoveries (85-90%) of the rare earths.

Lofdal produces heavy rare earth concentrate for Namibia Rare Earths Inc.

Namibia Rare Earths Inc. ("Namibia Rare Earths" or the "Company") (TSX: NRE) (OTCQX: NMREF) is pleased to report that it has received a preliminary metallurgical report from Mintek confirming that a xenotime concentrate can be produced from the fine grained mineralization at the Lofdal Rare Earth Project in northwestern Namibia, and that thorium can be removed from concentrates on site. A concentrate grade of 8.39% TREO with 96.1% heavy rare earth enrichment was produced from a representative sample of the high grade mineralization with a head grade of 1.37% TREO and achieved an overall recovery of 64.7%. Concentrates were also produced from sorted product and from fines (Table 1). (Please click here for Table 1) The report provides a number of recommendations to optimize grades and recoveries.



More discoveries on Lofdal for Namibia Rare Earths Inc.

Namibia Rare Earths Inc. ("Namibia Rare Earths" or the "Company") (TSX: NRE) (OTCQX: NMREF) is pleased to report that two new mineralized zones have been intersected by exploration drilling in Area 6, and one new zone in Area 5 at the Company's Lofdal Rare Earth Project in northwestern Namibia. This brings the total number of discoveries at Lofdal to 17 over a two year period, one of which has been drilled into a 43-101 compliant resource at Area 4 (Figure 1). Rare earth mineralization occurs in these new zones over very broad widths grading 0.2-0.7% TREO with moderate levels of heavy rare earth enrichment (10-25%). Highlights include:
