Midlands Minerals Corporation ("Midlands" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: MEX) is pleased to announce that, further to its June 21, 2013 press release, the sale of shares of Akroma Gold Company Limited ("Akroma") by its wholly owned subsidiary, Harbour Capital Corporation, was approved by the Company's shareholders (the "Shareholders") at its annual and special meeting of Shareholders held today. Midlands will proceed to draw upon the letter of credit delivered by the purchaser, Sian Goldfields Limited ("Sian"), for the remainder of the purchase price of US$3.4 million, less the non-refundable deposit of US$340,000 previously paid by Sian to Midlands.
