Anheuser-Busch InBev (Euronext: ABI; NYSE: BUD) today announced that it has successfully completed the sale of Grupo Modelo's (BMV: GMODELOC) U.S. business to Constellation Brands, Inc. (NYSE: STZ, STZ.B). The transaction includes the sale of Grupo Modelo's Piedras Negras brewery, Grupo Modelo's 50% stake in Crown Imports and perpetual rights to Grupo Modelo's brands distributed by Crown in the U.S. Constellation will now be an independent brewer and marketer of beer in the U.S.
