Clothing Retailing Market Report 2013 Report Features Players such as Debenhams Plc and Next Plc
M2 - Fri Jul 19, 10:54AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/fqncsh/clothing) has announced the addition of the "Clothing Retailing Market Report 2013" report to their offering. The fast-fashion phenomenon, which involves new styles being continuously released for the fashion-conscious to follow, has also had a positive bearing on the market. Initially this trend was believed to be most relevant to women; however, over the last couple of years there has been an increase in the number of male fashion trends, which have been greatly accepted by the younger generation. In addition, the general fast pace of the industry is greatly influenced by retailers and brands, which have been increasing the frequency with which they release new items. Other trends that have influenced the growth include a rise in costs from international suppliers, which the industry is heavily reliant on. This is due to increases in labour costs, notably in regions such as Asia, which have boosted the average pricing points of garments. There have been some changes in the marketplace, with volatility on the high street having led to a number of takeovers. In addition, the number of different shopping channels available to consumers has reached a new high, ranging from using the high street, supermarkets, shopping centres, retail parks and mail order to catalogues and the Internet; these offer a number of solutions for consumers' shopping needs. Consumer preference for outlets away from the high street has increased over the last few years, as the channel remains in a vulnerable position. This has led almost all major retailers to gain a presence online; without such a presence, companies are not believed to be able to sufficiently compete with other retailers. This digital change is not only believed to be influencing the e-commerce market, but also how companies advertise and connect with consumers. New innovations, including retailers' greater presence on social media sites and blogs, as well as streaming live videos from important events, have been evident over the last year among a few leading companies. This means of connecting directly with consumers has been highlighted as a main priority for retailers. Home Shopping Market Report 2013
M2 - Wed Jan 30, 4:41AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/q3txqw/home_shopping) has announced the addition of the "Home Shopping Market Report 2013" report to their offering. Despite the ongoing economic difficulties that have been experienced in the UK over the past few years, the home shopping market continued to observe year-on-year growth between 2007 and 2011, growing by 26.7% overall. The main driving force behind this growth was the e-commerce sector, which has continued to expand at a rapid rate in recent years, with Internet sales increasing by an estimated 35.9% over the past 5 years. In contrast, both general mail order and direct marketing witnessed declines during the review period, due to increased competition from e-commerce retailers and restricted marketing budgets during the recession. Meanwhile, the direct selling sector appeared to recover in 2010 and 2011, following a downward trend, with renewed interest in party plan events driving growth within this particular market categor
