The NIITEK(R) HMDS is a multi-panel high-performance Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system which functions on manned, blast resistant vehicles that provide rapid ability to scope out anti-vehicular landmines and other explosive hazards on main supply routes and additional open areas as needed. This is Turkey's first acquisition of the HMDS and represents a critical enhancement in the mine and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detection, interrogation, and clearance capabilities for the Turkish military. The NIITEK(R) Ground Penetrating Radar is now in use with the U.S., Canadian, Australian, and Spanish Militaries.
