The NIITEK(R) HMDS is a multi-panel high-performance Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system which functions on manned, blast resistant vehicles that provide rapid ability to scope out anti-vehicular landmines and other explosive hazards on main supply routes and additional open areas as needed. This is Turkey's first acquisition of the HMDS and represents a critical enhancement in the mine and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) detection, interrogation, and clearance capabilities for the Turkish military.
