Containers and Packaging Market in the US 2012-2016: Product Segmentation & Market Shares Included
M2 - Fri Nov 29, 8:36AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/s86r7f/containers_and) has announced the addition of the "Containers and Packaging Market in the US 2012-2016" report to their offering. The analysts forecast the Containers and Packaging market in the US to grow at a CAGR of 2.70 percent over the period 2012-2016. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the increasing demand for convenience in packages. The Containers and Packaging market in the US has also been witnessing the increasing demand for plastic material in packaging products. However, the highly fragmented market could pose a challenge to the growth of this market. The key vendors dominating this market space are Amcor Ltd., Ball Corp., International Paper Co., and RockTenn Co. Other vendors mentioned in the report are Bemis Company, Inc., Cascades Inc., Crown Holdings Inc., MeadWestvaco Corp., Plastipak Holdings Inc., Rexam plc, Reynolds Group Holdings Ltd., and Silgan Holdings Inc. Commenting on the report, an analyst from the team said: Rigid plastic and flexible plastic packaging products account for a large share in the Containers and Packaging market in the US. This share is increasing primarily because of the increasing preference of using plastic as a raw material in packages by industrial buyers and the preference for plastic packaging products by consumers. In addition, plastic packaging is replacing glass containers and metal packages, which is, therefore, fostering the demand for plastic packaging products and solutions. One of the major reasons for this increasing adoption is the versatility and durability provided by plastic. Also as plastic containers are lightweight, this helps reduce shipping and handling costs for vendors. The demand for plastic is also expected to be influenced by an increase in the demand for convenience packaged foods by consumers across the country. Hence, the demand for plastic packaging products is expected to have a positive impact on the growth of the Containers and Packaging market in the US during the forecast period. According to the report, one of the main drivers in this market is the increasing demand for convenient packaged products by consumers. The consumers look for products which are easy to open, store, and dispose of. Hence, the demand for more convenient packaging solutions is increasing the growth of this market in the US.
