Balmoral Intersects Nickel-Copper-PGE Mineralization Over 700 Metres Strike Length at Grasset, Detour Gold Trend Project, Quebec

Balmoral Resources Ltd. ("Balmoral" or the "Company") (TSX: BAR) (OTCQX: BALMF) today confirmed the presence of an extensive zone of nickel-platinum-palladium (+/-copper) mineralization on its wholly owned Grasset Property in Quebec. Results include the first massive sulphide intercept from the property, located at the core of an 11.41 metre mineralized interval, which returned 3.69% nickel, 0.23% copper, 1.23 g/t palladium and 0.53 g/t platinum over 1.46 metres. Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization has now been intersected for over 700 metres along strike in a northwest direction from discovery hole GR-12-09 (see NR12-14; May 23, 2012). The mineralized zone remains open in all directions. The Grasset Property is part of the Company's Detour Gold Trend Project. The Grasset Ni-Cu-PGE discovery is located approximately 40 km east of Balmoral's flagship, high-grade Martiniere gold system where drilling is on-going.
Balmoral Updates Progress on Northshore Property, Ontario

Balmoral Resources Ltd. ("Balmoral" or the "Company") (TSX: BAR)(OTCQX: BALMF) has been advised by GTA Resources and Mining Inc. ("GTA") (TSX VENTURE: GTA) that an initial NI43-101 resource estimate is currently being completed for the Afric Gold Zone on the Company's Northshore Property in Ontario. Drilling by GTA under an option agreement with Balmoral, and by historic operators, has outlined the Afric Gold Zone over an area of 350 x 500 metres and to a vertical depth of 350 metres below which it remains open for expansion. The Afric Gold Zone exhibits a high grade core and broad, lower grade halo. Recent drilling has also confirmed the presence of other high-grade vein systems on the Property. GTA has indicated to the Company that resource estimate should be completed during the first quarter or early second quarter of 2014.

Balmoral Set to Resume Drilling on Detour Gold Trend Project

Balmoral Resources Ltd. Initial targets for the winter program include infill and expansion drilling of the high-grade Bug Lake and related gold zones on the Martiniere Property, follow-up testing of the recently announced VMS discovery also on Martiniere, follow-up testing of the Grasset gold discovery and initial testing of a high-priority nickel-copper-platinum-palladium ("Ni-Cu-PGE") target outlined by the fall 2013 geophysical program on the Grasset Property. Balmoral Resources Ltd. ("Balmoral" or the "Company") (TSX: BAR)(OTCQX: BALMF) today reported the highest grade gold intercept to date from the Martiniere West Gold Zone on its wholly owned Detour Gold Trend Project in Quebec. Hole MDW-13-88, testing a revised geological model at shallow depths within the central portion of the Martiniere West Zone, returned an intercept of 10.62 g/t gold over 21.44 metres, including a bonanza grade core intercept of 108.00 g/t gold over 1.95 metres. This intercept is nearly double the grade of the highest grade intercept from previous drilling testing the West Zone (67.76 g/t gold over 1.36 metres). The bonanza grade intercept is surrounded by a broad mantle of pyrite-sericite alteration, silica flooding and anomalous gold mineralization over a down-hole width of 21.44 metres in keeping with the majority of Martiniere West Zone intercepts.
