Dr. Ichim has used Cook General Biotechnology before. That's part of the reason he recommended them for Regen's production of HemaXellerate I. In 2010 Dr. Ichim's other company (Medistem) signed a contract with General Biotechnology to commercialize their ERCs.
General Biotechnology changed its name in 2012 to Cook General Biotechnology and it's the same company Ichim has chosen to use for Regen's production of HemaXellerate I.
Also to be noted is the fact that Dr. Michael Murphy from the University of Indiana is going to be the principle investigator for the HemaXellerate I trials. Dr. Murphy was also the principle investigator for Medistem's critical limb ischemia clinical trial using ERCs. It's probably very convenient for the principle investigator to be based in the same state as the production company (both are in Indiana).
It seems Regen Biopharma is headed down a similar path as Medistem.
