BLACK HILLS CORP. RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE ACHIEVERS 50 MOST ENGAGED WORKPLACES IN THE UNITED STATES
RAPID CITY, S.D. -September 11, 2012 - Black Hills Corp. today announced its recognition as one of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in the United States. This annual award recognizes top employers that display leadership and innovation in engaging their employees.

The Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces Awards panel of judges evaluated each applicant based on eight elements of employee engagement, including communication, leadership, culture, rewards and recognition, professional and personal growth, accountability and performance, vision and values and corporate social responsibility.
The panel of judges included Bruce Bolger, Managing Director of Enterprise Engagement Alliance, Stacia Garr, Principal Analyst of Bersin & Associates, Debbie McGrath, Founder and Chief Instigator of HR.com and Razor Suleman, Founder and Chairman of Achievers.

employees but also the bottom line," Suleman said. Black Hills Corp. will be honored alongside other recipients of the Achievers 50 Most Engaged
Workplaces Award at the awards gala Oct. 25 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco.
