While at Ascent Media (AMG), Butterworth produced projects specifically with technical production challenges including Digital Intermediates, DVD Screener workflows, and individual production needs. Because of this dedication, Director Terry Nemeroff had requested his assistance on "Enfants Terribles" aka "Thicker", starring Leslie Zemeckis, Christopher Lloyd, and Peter Facinelli. Director Stu Pollard called shortly after for a consultation on Keep Your Distance which became Ascent Media - Burbank's first Digital Intermediate in 2003.
After Butterworth's departure from Ascent in 2005, he was recruited by Ckrush Entertainment to complete Paris Hilton's "Pledge This", which premiered theatrically in October 2006 at Cannes and is currently distributed by Vivendi Universal. Butterworth later continued to produce, "Ripple Effect", with his good friend Philippe Caland including Forrest Whittaker, Virginia Madsen, Minnie Driver, Kali Rocha, Kip Purdue, John Billingsley, and many others. In 2008, he negotiated the theatrical distribution rights via Monterey Media and continues.
In 2009, "Carbon Copy", became the first project Butterworth wrote, produced, edited, and directed. Jonathan Breck, popularly known as the "Creeper" from MGM's Jeeper's Creepers I & II, stars opposite Chuck Williams from "The Girls Next Door" and introducing Sarah Lieving.
As the next challenges unfold, Butterworth is developing his next script entitled, "Bedford Falls", an homage to Mel Brooks's Blazing Saddles. Meanwhile, he continues to help Caland with their latest project "Tripping Tommie" and their franchise.
Butterworth currently resides at Warner Bros Motion Picture Imaging where he seeks post production opportunities for the facility and their classic film library.
