American Water Declares Quarterly Dividend
Cash dividend payable in the fourth quarter 2012
VOORHEES, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- American Water Works Company, Inc. (NYSE: AWK) announced today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend payment of $0.25 per share. The regular quarterly cash dividend is payable on December 3, 2012 to all shareholders of record as of November 16, 2012.

"Earlier this year, American Water raised its dividend 8.7 percent and refined its dividend policy so payouts more closely track with financial performance. The company has increased its dividend every year since becoming publicly traded in 2008, demonstrating our commitment to striking the right balance between reinvestment in our regulated operations and cash dividend payments."
