While these mistakes happen often and may or not not be considered a breach of confidentiality, there is definitely an ethical issue at hand that I believe to be very apparent, and the ethics in question to be even more so.
Whether or not you receive an email with "your name" or as a "named" recipient is immaterial. If the email, letter, or whatnot is not intended for you, and this is beyond blatantly obvious in the screenshots posted, then if nothing else, ethically speaking it should hit the trash can and never be seen again.
It would be like the days of old, you get a credit card sent in the mail that belongs to the previous owner/renter of your home. Do you run out and charge it up? I think not, in this case it's illegal and well we know the results from doing things like that... but it is also ethically wrong.
So apparently, the "Truth" doesn't mean that ethics are required, regardless of the content of the correspondence which incidentally is not exactly of huge consequence, an email with a termination letter to an employee was posted. People who don't do their jobs get fired everyday... it isn't national news. Additionally, be this unethical as it may be as an attempt to do who knows what for who knows what reason, what it really says is that if there are things in the company that aren't working, PVEI doesn't just let them progress, we cut the cord and save the shareholders the headaches that they have had to endure in the previous months.
PVEI is continuing to make forward progress which is very apparent given the recent announcement of the share distribution that is being recorded on March 14th, 2014. There have been many "How's this possible" or "It's all BS" - well from where PVEI management sits - you have to make your own decision as to whether or not you believe what is extended to you, the shareholder; it's not for us to decide. I will say this however, since Kerry and I have been involved - PVEI has made a 100% about face and all of the issues that have been brewing over the course of the past year are just about done.
Not all ideas that are tried turn out to be genius ones... in this case you cut your losses and move onto the next idea - that's how successful business works. Sitting around picking the ideas apart or making judgements based on previous roles and ideas do absolutely nothing to make business successful. If that's the plan that people think is necessary, then truly, I do feel sorry for them. Do any of you think that Bill Gates or Steve Jobs made their millions on Version 1.0? I know for a fact that isn't the case - and in the case of PVEC, we are 4 for 5 in good ideas and that my friends is not a bad track record. Do you honestly think that PVEI would issue a share distribution like we did if we didn't know what we were doing? There are business plans in motion and there's not much that anyone or anything can do to stop them at this point.
Prior to taking an active role in the company I had been following PVEC for a very long time - at the time it was VDSC. I didn't get into the stock from the promise of a dividend, a spinoff or anything other than pure due diligence and the sight of potential. After becoming closer and more involved, just like Kerry, I noticed that there were some seriously wrong things taking place and offered my assistance. Well as it turns out as most of you know, maybe some of you don't, I have been appointed as the Director of Zeus Travel, Inc. which in due time will take it's due course. Additionally, as I and Kerry, as well as many other investors had suspected, there were people that were taking the term "taking advantage" of someone to a whole new level. Kerry and I intervened and since then, the company has come through 100% with everything it has stated, including on-time financials for the first time in the past 3 years if memory serves correctly. These changes aren't by accident, just like the Series C preferred shares, they are by design and under no circumstances, given the amount of attention that is given this company are we going to let any cat out of any bag prior to the proper time. If the reasons for this decision aren't as obvious as the sky is blue, I am at a loss as to how to convey it.
It's been stated that this company is no different from any other "pink sheet" company out there. If that's your belief, then it's been a pleasure... for those that know the public truth, then we welcome you to the PVEI family... for those that know the WHOLE TRUTH about the company, where it's going and what it's doing... well from coast to coast there are a total of 3 people that know the TRUTH about that. Those that wish to find out can sit back, relax and enjoy one hell of a ride... those that don't, feel free to hit the back button on your browser and continue in your quest for a company that interests you.
Be all this as it may, as a shareholder, prospective shareholder, or a bystander, you have to perform your own due diligence and investigation, making your own decisions about whether or not to invest your money into ANY company. Don't take my opinion or anyone else's - use your own common sense.
Respectfully,
Jason Baker
