U.S. Customs and Border Protection - The Mission: An agency within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is charged with managing, controlling, and protecting the nation’s borders at and between the official points of entry. Its Office of Asset Management is responsible for planning, budgeting, and executing new construction and leasing, acquisition and installation of tactical infrastructure, and operation and maintenance of real property for the Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Detention and Removal Office, and other organizations within DHS.
Uniquely Engineered: Within the CBP Strategic Border Initiative (SBI), Horne Engineering’s staff augmentees and Subject Matter Experts (SME) provide services in the areas of design review, facility engineering and management, and tactical infrastructure (TI). In later stages of SBI, Horne Engineering Services will also participate in construction management and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC). Horne maintains its efforts in support of the U.S. within DOD and government agencies.
