Some unofficial inside "dope" for my american fitx brothers n sistas. As the april 1 date approaches and us northerners change to the new distribution system,(were all pretty schooled on the jist and fitx's plans so i wont waste your time) heres some insight into the word on the street.
Please keep in mind the avg canadian has a more " wait n see" mentality. Youd be prolly surprised by how many recreational users have NO idea that they can even talk to their doctors about mmj for medicinal use. And trust me when i say that with the public health care system and the high volume of ppl that now use walk in clinics as a regular part of their medical resourses, it shocks me that their not at least inquiring. Its strictly from a lack of public info that i believe it occurs. My point here is please dont view april 1st as the be all n end all like jan 1 was in colorado. Word will spread gradually and once some are talking over water coolers and dinner parties, it will begin a wave of acceptability. It,s why i totally and completely believe Bill and his team are making sure that their following a very calculated master plan to be successful for the long run. These things take time. I guess i just dont want to see some of the less informed but well intentioned investors think april 1 april 1, woohoo score! Then panic if were not on the nasdaq on april 2.
Much like anywhere, mmj is in widespread use here as anywhere. Those that may rely on "official" numbers to base their projections of use for the future here are prolly seriously undervalueing the long term. If your on this board and you think youve found a winner, im in total agreement. This thing will be HUGE eventually but itll take time and patience. Please remember that when you invest your money.
All this is STRICTLY from a personal point of view and opinion and my ONLY intent is hopefully alleviate any fear some may have with expectations of instant magic and then panic if it doesnt happen. Id hate to see someone risk more than they could afford based on misinformation. Period.
