Todays trading action was rather obvious and clear as to what exactly happened. Just look at the daily chart with volume along with the daily short sale figures. What happened is there was a lot of accumulation in the first hour and a half of trading, from 9:30am to 11:00am. In the first hour and a half there were was a lot of buying up to about 35M shares traded at the high of the day or near the high (.0031 to .003). The rest of the day consisted of rather light volume of about 9M more shares traded which dropped the PPS down all the way to the close to .0027, again, on light volume. Slightly less than 1M shares traded in the final 20 minutes of trading caused the stock to end the session one tick lower on the day. A joke it is.
Yesterdays action was not caused by short selling but was caused by selling pressure, however todays action was caused by short selling into low volume, IMO.

It is rather clear that at least up to the 33M volume mark today there was buying and probably some small amount of shorting in there as well, then after 11:00am the last bit of volume for the day of about 10M shares or so were just small sandbag dumps on the bid to manipulate the PPS down so shorts could be covered a few ticks lower today. Like I have said all along, the flippers and daily shorters will move in and take complete control of the price and volume action if the buyers run out of dry powder too early in the day. This happens quite frequently, the limited buying support for the stock buys up all the available shares in the morning and then runs out of powder, then there is very a very low volume illiquid market for shares for the rest of the day which is a great environment for the shorts because with small bid whacks they can take the PPS down to lower levels to cover, which allows them to generate small profits daily via shorting early and mid-day then covering low at the end of the day when no buyers are around.
