Folks – PLEASE READ:
There are a lot of conspiracy theories being thrown around here and I am going to interrupt to set the record straight.
iHub is not "run by a hedge fund." Our parent company is ADVFN Plc of the United Kingdom. It’s a publicly traded company so if anyone would like to see institutional ownership you can do so by looking at their filings. In any event, they operate their own message boards in the U.K. and are not involved in the operation of iHub's message boards, which are managed exclusively by employees of iHub. iHub and all of its employees are based in the USA.
No Admin even trades penny stocks.
While investing is in theory a zero sum game, we don't like to see anyone take a loss or be down in their trade or investment. Otherwise, frankly, we have no interest in what the price per share is of any penny stock.
I get all these PM’s asking why the “longs” are being restricted and the “bashers” get to post whatever they want. We have no idea what a user's investment sentiment is when we are looking at statistics (% of messages removed, types of violations, history of violations and sanctions, etc.) It’s numbers, not investment sentiment. If we go look at the posts further, sure we can likely determine if someone is positive or negative on the stock. However, that is irrelevant and has no impact on whether someone is restricted or not.
To see just how long these very same unfounded allegations of investment sentiment bias have been thrown around, read this and check the date it was posted:
