In his new capacity, Mr. Long will be responsible for building alliances between G.S. Jones and building owners – along with facility and property managers – throughout Western Pennsylvania. He will play an integral part in advancing the company's strategy to minimize property damage, loss of income, and provide business continuity to these organizations when disasters occur. He will report to Scott Jones, President and co-founder of G.S. Jones.

Before joining the company, Mr. Long served for 21 years as Director of Facilities Management for Highmark Inc., retiring from the company in 2012. During his career, he also has held a range of facilities management positions with Mellon Bank NA. He holds an engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University.

"As an executive with an engineering background, Paul possesses a deep understanding of the complexities involved in managing and maintaining commercial properties at the time of a disaster," said Scott Jones. "He brings our company great depth of experience in the industry, combined with a keen understanding of people. His insights will help G.S. Jones provide enhanced levels of disaster prevention, disaster recovery and related services to our customers."

Throughout his career, Mr. Long has held memberships with the International Facility Management Association, the Green Building Alliance, the Building Owners and Managers Association, and Building Owners and Managers Institute International. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the nonprofit organization ACHIEVA Support, Southwestern Pennsylvania's largest provider of comprehensive services and supports for people with disabilities and their families.

Editor's Note:

G.S. Jones ( gsjonesrestoration.com ) is a Pittsburgh-based business providing emergency, disaster restoration and consulting services for commercial, institutional and residential properties. The family business was established in 1985 by George Jones, Sr., and his two sons, Daniel and Scott. Today, G.S. Jones still operates as a family-owned business with the guiding principles of ethics, quality, and a cost-conscious approach.

As a specialized provider of disaster recovery services, G.S. Jones offers a sound service that positively meets a defined business and consumer need in the 21st century. In any market where G.S. Jones is located, its business is good for the property owner who has experienced a disaster and good for the local community because the company quickly stabilizes and restores damaged properties and returns them to revenue production.
