If you had any doubt about how warped the priorities are in Tallahassee, check this out:
While they have consistently pushed to block medical marijuana to those that need it, Florida legislators have introduced a series of bills to make it even easier to buy alcohol in large quantities. One bill would expand the sale of hard liquor to grocery and convenience stores. Another would allow the sale of 128-ounce beer containers ? 128 ounces! That?s almost 11 cans of beer in a single container!
And these are the same people who say that marijuana is too dangerous to be used with a doctor?s recommendation?
What are they thinking? This failure in leadership is exactly why we had to put this on the ballot ourselves.
The passage of medical marijuana falls to us and this fast-growing campaign. We're going to make sure that millions of voters are armed with facts - and know the truth about what Amendment 2 really means and why they should vote YES.
It's a herculean, expensive effort. We're spreading people throughout the state - making sure our regional leaders have everything from handouts to business cards.
These 252 days to election day will go very quickly. We need to build the campaign now - not months from now - so we have in place the infrastructure we need to win.
