Interesting thought. Foil pouch has other advantages, as well, such as a moisture barrier and an opacity that keeps snooping eyes from guessing the contents, as we are now. lol
Light affects so many things, from pills to Picassos. Knowing that "light is the enemy of beer," I asked a so-called beer expert, some time ago, why Miller Champagne of Bottled Beers came in clear bottles and not light-restricting brown or green glass bottles. He said if the big beer brewers were required by law to list all ingredients on the label, sales would plummet, and mentioned a chemical associated with preserved cadavers. True or false, I switched to German imports. Germany has very strictly enforced beer purity laws since 1516; ingredients of non wheat beers domestic or exported: water, malted barley, and hops full stop.
