This is the best I could find on my second attempt in a month:

"Dear investor,

As I have said here on facebook, I have little to do with the affairs of the management of our parent company. I have immense faith in their capacity to do everything right. There is not a lot that I can address about their business affairs, but I can tell you about Berkeley Bio.

As I write this, there is concern about the physical address of Berkeley Bio. It is rather absurd, as everyone knows the type of research we do, and the need to maintain discretion. The location of where we work will not be disclosed, for obvious reasons. I will say that the lab itself is not in my basement, has never been, and is not even in Berkeley, for that matter.

Dr. Apel and I have been working on researching the cannabis plant for all of our adult lives. We have been independent researchers, so to speak, doing it because we believe in this plant and all that it can accomplish for humanity. One does not get a FDA research license based on years of “experience” with the plant, no matter how much they might be able to contribute to the science, or how impressive their scientific credentials may be.

Thankfully, the State of California allows medical patients to possess the plant, and, as long as certain overall requirements for safety of operations and personnel are maintained (as in an OSHA approved laboratory setting with trained personnel and proper insurance), our research will be (hopefully) tolerated by the powers that be.

Dale Gieringer, a true hero of the cannabis movement, had never heard of Berkeley Bio for the obvious reasons. Few people, either in or out of the MMJ world, had ever heard of Berkeley Bio because we had no need to advertise or promote anything. We didn’t even name our work until about six months before teaming up with our new benefactors, when we decided that several of our discoveries were quite valid, and it was time to see them developed and implemented. As there were no revenues or production associated with our work to this point, we simply formed a general partnership when we saw the need to become more “official”.

Berkeley Bio was acquired based on our previous efforts in the worlds of science and cannabis, as well as the validity of our work with the cannabinoids to that point. Our resumes, posted on this facebook page, will give an idea of the scope and depth of our research over the decades.

Currently, Dr. Apel and I have come up with several novel ways to medicinialize the elements in the cannabis plant that we find very interesting. Our preliminary work has been very promising. Over the next months, thanks to the support and help we now have, we will be further refining our research, and hopefully, produce several unique products which utilize the non-psychoactive elements of the plant in the fight against cancer.

Thanks for your question. I wish I could answer more, but I cannot. Suffice it to say that I believe that our new associates have some of the best business and legal minds in the world, have a business infrastructure and resources to see this all happen, have a wonderful plan in place that it is executing according to schedule, and certainly is not going to do anything that is legally foolish.

Thanks for your concern. Write me any time.

D. Gold"

That's complete bullshit and everyone should know that. If dispensaries are able to operate just fine, there's no reason for labs to be scared shitless, certainly not in Cali-fucking-fornia.
