Great post. I remember talking with my father about WWII when many men of German descent were forced to make a decision - to fight against their father or

grand father's home country. Many of them still had relatives still living there. People in dad's neighborhood stopped speaking German and learned English ASAP. They were all citizens of their new country and came together to defend it. That was unity and the United States of America.
