I'm no PR expert, but in one of those 2 PR's they stated that they will begin simulator training in February. I believe that next logical step would be to proclaim that simulator training has commenced.
The FAA may have them handcuffed, but if they can give estimates of when things should begin, they should certainly be able to confirm when those same things actually take place.
