I suspect many on this board are looking at what is happening with Hollund from the wrong angle. Hollund is moving inexplicably slow, and for whatever reason they do not appear interested in the share price right now. In some cases, even when they do have information to convey to shareholders, they simply do not. That leaves many questions in the minds of those invested, and even more in the minds of those who are not yet invested, but might with more information.
The fact is, Hollund is not likely buying back shares at this time. Instead, they probably made arrangements with someone or some group to acquire Hayward’s converted shares as they became available. This means someone or some group is very interested in Hollund, and in what they are doing. The arrangement for the acquisition of these shares is a big risk, and so the interested party or parties likely has the means to keep the price low --- perhaps by selling 100 shares at .0001 whenever the price rises a little. This type of manipulation costs money, but it is not illegal as long as they are buying and selling in the market at the prevailing market price (in other words, the price is in its normal range). We may all wish the price to go higher, but a large spike in share price with no good reason could be viewed as true manipulation and illegal (especially if someone or some group benefited from such a spike).
I certainly wish for a higher share price, but if Hollund is reluctant to reveal factual and checkable information at this time, it’s likely because the share price needs to be low in order for the transactions to consummate that ultimately will result in the elimination of Hayward’s Class C shares. And, do not think for a moment that Hayward is personally benefiting from all these conversions. Instead, Hayward very likely no longer even owns these shares. If I were Hayward, and sitting on a large block of something I knew I couldn’t liquidate, I would have bundled them and sold them to a broker at a discount some time ago --- Hayward likely did the same.
