creativeLIVE, the world’s largest online education network, is partnering with Ustream,  the world’s most social and scalable live video platform, to offer a free, live course. Fundamentals of Live Streaming, led by Ustream Senior Product Marketing Manager Alden Fertig, will broadcast live today February 10, from 9AM-4PM PST.

As part of over 8 hours of live, free instruction, Fertig will take students on a detailed tour of Ustream, a powerful platform used by more than 15 million individual broadcasters to engage, inform, and entertain global audiences. Ustream CEO Brad Hunstable and creativeLIVE co-founder Chase Jarvis will also join Fertig for a roundtable discussion on the importance of live broadcasting.

Fertig, who has produced live broadcasts for MTV, CBS, Fox, the NFL, and more, will show viewers how to set up a live broadcast from start to finish, including audio and lighting best practices, adding guests via Skype, and incorporating videos and music. Hunstable and Jarvis will discuss the unique opportunities provided by live streaming, and how broadcast technology is reshaping whole industries across the globe.
