As of March 17, 2014, NASDAQ OMX Derivatives Markets will introduce a RFQ functionality for the Nordic equity derivatives market. The RFQ functionality allows market participants to request a one- or two-sided quote to the central order book of a specified instrument. Such RFQ can be submitted with or without an indicative quantity attached to it. Once submitted, a RFQ is visible to the entire market and all market participants can respond to it with single orders or quotes in the applicable order book. The RFQ functionality will be available in order books for • OMXS30 index options (including binary & weekly); • Options (including binary), forwards and futures on Swedish shares; • Options on exchange traded funds in SEK; • Options and forwards on Finnish shares and depository receipts on request; • VINX index options; • Options and futures on Danish shares; • OMXC20CAP index options; • Options, forwards and futures on Norwegian shares; • OMXO20 index options; and • Tailor Made Combinations. Please note that the RFQ functionality will neither be available for outright index futures, nor index futures roll combination order books. The functionality will be offered initially via the Genium INET Trading Workstation and the OMnet API. In a future phase, RFQs will also be supported via the FIX protocol. NASDAQ OMX is currently working with market participants and ISVs to support them in the implementation of RFQs. Members are advised to contact their ISV for more details on the availability of the functionality. Please note that as announced in Exchange Notice 08/14, a fee holiday will offered for Genium INET Trading Workstation licenses ordered during the period March 1 and September 30, 2014.
