If anybody is into technology stocks, you may want to look at SPIHF. (Company name Sphere 3D)
Not sure if it has been mentioned before but definitely worth a minute or two of your DD time.
Company has a new software product being rolled out this month (already partnered w/ Corel and Overland) that should be the ultimate cloud storage/access program. Market this year is $100B, by 2020 expected to be $1T. Rollout refers to marketing plan, program has already been debugged and known to work.
This software should allow all companies to offload their IT depts, hardware, etc. and have total accessibility and safety thru the cloud.
Not bad either that MSFT today named their new Pres and he was head of the cloud division prior to this promotion. Many saying a massive buyout is possible (only about 20MM shares outstanding) within end of year to first half of 2015 for mega $ and this would be most likely from Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, or possibly SalesForce. Company already profitable and no new capital requirements are expected. Revenues expected to start ramping up immediately.
Example: Overland sold a govt body storage eqpt in the 80's or 90's and they now have 60T (terabytes) of data needing to be stored in the cloud. Price expected to be $12B, take a house full of servers, and would be done manually. The SPIHF product, Glassware 2.0, could store it in a device the size of a toaster, no manual work needed, for a fraction of the cost. Many, many various revenue streams.
IHUB board has great explanation of just how it works. Basically anyone using any device with any operating system anywhere in the world will have access to the cloud with no needed updates, downloads of plug ins, etc. An extremely expensive CAD program could be accessed directly from a hand held phone. Testing showed it runs rings around the major competitors in the market today.
If anyone finds this post offensive, let me know and I will cease putting up any info such as this in the future. Only purpose is trying to keep board members aware of some interesting possibilities.
In simple terms, users access the cloud and the system builds a virtual cloud within a minute for that device and brings the required program into the cloud for use (not sure how they know what apps to bring to the virtual cloud). When the user signs off, the virtual cloud is gone so no storage devices have to be used for the next time user signs on, a new virtual cloud is again brought to life.
