When I was around 8 or 9 they were the first team I saw do exactly that, grind throughout the playoffs winning by field goals at the end and ultimately winning the Super Bowl against the bills. I have always liked the idea of the under dog coming out of nowhere and winning it all. I became a mets fan for the same reason in the 80s.
