Held every January in Orlando, the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) Conference provides a forum for assistive technology education and communication to educators and practitioners serving those with disabilities. Beamz will be demonstrating its Beamz Interactive Music System, which is currently used in hundreds of special education classrooms, pull-out rooms and OT and PT settings to teach skills including cause and effect, directionality, sequencing, fine and gross motor skills, common core subjects and more. The universal design of Beamz gives students of any cognitive or physical ability instant access to hundreds of musical instruments and songs from every genre. Adaptive peripherals such as switches and keyboards, as well as interactive whiteboards and touch screen devices can be used to provide just the right amount of support for every learner or therapy recipient.
