Identity protection is about protecting your identity from those who wish to bring harm to you, your family, your property, your finances, your reputation. Please do not fall for the line that "I have nothing to hide". While that is admirable that is not the point or concern. I'm sure you would not want others gaining access to your finances or the addresses of where your children go to school or where they play.
