Starman2, if one believes in global warming, it's much just like a religion.  NASA recently reported that there has been no discernible change in global temperature in the last 16 years, but that doesn't stop some from preaching that we all will be living in warm temperatures.  I took a few courses at the University near by this last year, and the professor was demanding students believe in global warming.  So I raised my hand and asked him a simple question.  I asked if global warming is really true, and humans are indeed responsible, then how do you explain even warmer temperatures millions of years before humankind arrived on the scene?  And, colder temperatures as well?  He said he would talk to me about this after class.  When I at his office after class he told me that most students just sit there and take in whatever he tells them, and without ever questioning.  He then agreed with me that the proof scientists often cite was selectively gathered to support their claims, and funding for research is granted mainly to those researching claims that favor the beliefs of the current Administration.  So he has no choice but to preach global warming, or his funding will dry up.


Remarkable.  This says a lot about the state of our country.
