Jan. 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hybrid Coating Technologies Inc. ( HCTI ) is pleased to announce that it has expanded its technology with a new UV curing formulation. The Company's new formulation is the only non isocyanate UV curing polyurethane formulation in the world. This new formulation allows the Company's floor coating products to fully cure within an hour instead of 7 days which is currently the normal industry standard. "We are very excited by this new formulation as it allows for the installation of a floor coating in one day rather than several days which is presently the industry norm," said Joseph Kristul, President and CEO, "this new addition to our technology is yet another demonstration of our scientific team's ability to develop cutting edge, market relevant, eco friendly products in the polyurethane industry."

Hybrid's patented technology is the only formulation in the world today that produces polyurethane without the use of any isocyanates in the entire production process.
On June 25, 2013 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), a division of the US Department of Labor, initiated a National Emphasis Program to protect workers from the serious health effects from occupational exposure to isocyanates. Isocyanates are found in polyurethane based products. According to the OSHA, "Workers exposed to isocyanates can suffer debilitating health problems for months or even years after exposure which could result in death."
