I'm just going to reply to their posts on occasion with positive, perhaps even unrelated responses. Links to recent PRs, photos of oil sale tickets, etc. I would assume a basher's goal is to put up content that Google will find. Thus they'll be pretty upset when we post positive information for the same reason.

I don't have L2 and therefore can't provide commentary on MM activities, but just keeping an eye on my realtime quote screen gives me an idea of sentiment vs strategy.
