Garibaldi's 100%-owned Grizzly Property covers 17,500 hectares (175 sq. km) and rests in the heart of the Sheslay Valley, one of northwest British Columbia's most promising exploration areas. Successful exploration methods developed by Garibaldi in Mexico are being adopted at the Grizzly.
Recent and current work, including an extensive sampling program that commenced during the first week of October, is aimed at prioritizing drill targets at the Grizzly.
A high-resolution heli-borne aeromagnetic and radiometric survey was completed in September over northwestern portions of the property. A preliminary review of the data from this survey, combined with data from an earlier survey by Fugro, confirms that the rock units and structures underlying the Grizzly extend onto the 65 sq. km Sheslay Property (Prosper Gold) contiguous to the Grizzly.
Two parallel faults, extending 15 km from the Grizzly West to Grizzly Central targets, appear to be related to porphyry copper-gold occurrences on both the Grizzly and the Sheslay.
Historical reports and exploration by Garibaldi since 2006 suggest the Grizzly holds strong discovery potential. The property is on the same Stikine Arch trend, known as the "Golden Triangle", that has produced numerous major discoveries and deposits. It is located approximately 275 km northwest of Stewart, 50 km northwest of Telegraph Creek and 30 km east of the past producing high-grade Golden Bear gold mine.
