That reminds me of a quote attributed to John F. Kennedy when he hosted a formal dinner in the White House for the Nobel Prize winners of that year. JFK introduced the distinguished and illustrious group by saying, "I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent, of human knowledge, that has ever been gathered together at the White House — with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined here alone."
