SAN RAMON, Calif., Jan. 14, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AMF Media Group (AMF), an award-winning full-service marketing agency, has named events marketing veteran Lisa Demarest, CMP as Team Leader, Events to head the firm's event planning and management. In her role, Demarest will produce large corporate events, trade shows, conferences, product launches and senior level meetings for a growing roster of AMF clients. She began her new position January 6.
As an expert in event marketing with more than 20 years of experience working with high-profile clients including Roche, Microsoft, UBS and AT&T, Demarest will help event clients build their company brands through innovative event marketing programs spanning across a variety of verticals including bioscience, technology and food services.

Demarest comes to AMF from her own event-marketing firm, where she provided creative execution of events, conferences, meetings and tradeshows. Prior to running Demarest Event Marketing, she was EVP, Business Development & Meeting Management of In Good Company Events, Inc., a company she helped launch that worked directly with many Fortune 500 and 1000 companies on event marketing solutions.
She also served as Senior Director Business Development of Summit Strategies, selling strategic consulting and advisory services to technology companies including Apple, Intel, HP and Qualcomm. Earlier in her career, Demarest was Regional Director Business Development for PHH Corporation, where she conducted consultative selling to corporate clients for vehicle fleets, services and financing.
Demarest has also acted as chairperson for the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Campaign in the Bay Area, has been an active member of the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce and was the co-chair of Meeting Professionals International's Education Programs Committee. She currently serves on the Green Meetings Industry Council.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Communications and Theater from Wittenberg University.
