Not throwing stones here, just stating my opinion:

This is why a good leader surrounds himself with individuals who have skills that may be either lacking in the leader, or whose skills remove the burden from the leader of having to deal with extraneous issues and allow him to focus on his primary duty (duties).
In the case of this company/play, I would recommend an IR person or agency to handle all investor and public inquiries, and information dissemination. We have already seen what has transpired with the current status of communication, and when the negativity directly reflects on, and is associated with the CEO, (either real or perceived), there is created a perfect storm for a death spiral of a play.
Just my opinion, but I deal with several CEO's and IR firms in OTC plays. This is the first time, that I have had a CEO publicly ignore me because I said something that was less than positive about the play.
Quite the opposite happened to me just last week: I was in direct discussion with a CEO, talked about some things I did not like at all, and his response? "Thank you for being honest and upfront. I need to hear what our shareholders understand and know about our company and position, and what they are concerned about. Please continue to keep the lines of communication open. I am always willing to discuss your issues and concerns."
Says it all.
