Questions in regards to SGLB buyout:
I don't know if buying PrintRite3D will be that easy. PrintRite3D needs to be pre-programmed with parameters to classify welds as nominal, off nominal, or unacceptable. The parameters are actual metal characteristics. So, PrintRite3D will need some sort of maintenance program for different metals used in welding. This is the same data Prabhjot Singh states he wishes to have when asked what is needed to advance AM, and no place is better than from metallurgists who have studied metals and welding for decades. This is why I think PrintRite3D buyout will not be quite easy.
Every 3D printing manufacturer has some sort of parameter for quality inspection, but they all do so for post-process assurance. Among the metal 3D printing manufacturers, they are:
DDD: GeoMagic
AMAVF: LogStudio
EOS: EOSINT
Concept Laser: QM System
