It's adding fuel to the fire, but this rally is likely much more than short covering. It's a sea change in perception based on the utility of medical cannabis and the public demand  to end the absurd ban on this plant. It's cost society trillions all told over the last 75 years and especially since Sched 1 in 1970. So much wasted money, ruined lives and damage to civil liberties for sake of profit and power to the few.
