I am responding to an excellent post. I think that TRTC is indeed an MJ play. The equipment side makes it obviously part of the universe, but it's clear that this isn't the future of the company. If you look at current financials or even what lies ahead for the next few quarters, it's easy to say "it's not an MJ play", but this ignores the reality of what likely lies ahead further down the road.
TRTC is very well-positioned to capture investor loyalty in my view as well as to capitalize on the changes that lie ahead as more states adopt MMJ and legal MJ. My ways may be overly simplistic, but I think we are all best served by finding people we can trust and that we think have the potential to build value. I am willing to endorse Derek Peterson and his team based on what I have learned so far.
Does that make TRTC a good investment right now? Who knows. My suggestion to everyone is to find companies you like and figure out what the market cap is, incorporating all the potential dilution. In the case of TRTC, I am seeing today's fully-diluted shares as about 250mm. This means at .16 that the market cap is $40mm. If one does that exercise across the names in the sector, it's clear that it's cheap compared to some others, but don't fool yourself. The 250mm is a moving target, and no company in the sector has the current financials to justify the current price. On the other hand, the future is bright. Hopefully TRTC and some of these other companies are able to execute and take advantage.
