The volume the day the MOU with Michigan Tech was announced is very interesting and I hope we have another one of those days where there is a big rush in buying. If there was not a knife dive that morning the gains would have been fantastic. The total percent increase was 21.76%. The total volume was 21.9 M, almost matching the sell-off in July 09,2013 of 22.5M. It is hard to believe that the volume and percentage movement was due to an MOU. The slow decline in PPS is difficult to watch but, as I mentioned, I'm confident in SGLB. Why? The progress towards commercialization appears to be happening in shorter time periods. Consider:

02/22/12: Contracts from Honeywell for Aerospace Additive Manufacturing IPQA Approved by Boeing for Aerospace Production

05/17/13: Contract from Fortune 100 Power Generation Company for New Manufacturing Technology to Repair Gas Turbines (IPQA process)

05/24/13: JTDA with GE Aviation for IPQA in Additive Manufactured Jet Engine Components

10/25/13: Contract from Los Alamos National Laboratory for Advanced Manufacturing Technology

11/18/13: Contract Extension from Honeywell Aerospace for Additive Manufacturing Support of DARPA

12/16/13: JTDA with Metronic Systems, LLC To Accelerate Commercialization Of PrintRite3D DEFORM Quality Inspection Module

12/26/13: Sigma Labs delivers two PrintRite3D Systems To Leading International Aerospace Company

There has been significant progress in IPQA from May to Dec: 5 steps forward in 7 months. I count the contract for Aries because this strengthens the MOU in 05/07/13 with LANL to explore technology for commercialization. I've seen research on using active materials for in-process monitoring of quality assurance and I hope they can develop that one day.

So, we are here in January and this is the month everyone is nervous about. I'm ok with it. I'll be here waiting for more progress news, which I'm sure will be here before anyone expects it because SGLB behaves that way. The recent track record is looking really good and I'm particularly happy to see those 2 systems out in the field. PrintRite3D is the catalyst for quality and efficiency in AM and will be in demand by competition. Soon or later some other aerospace company will want to see PrintRite3D perform in their facility.

Did every see this? Ford announced that they will use AM technology to build Mustang engine covers. They also plan to produce “millions of car parts”.

Metronics Laser scanner is PPAP compliant as well. Look at the lower half of this page:

Sigma Labs does not develop business relationships with ill-qualified businesses and Metronics is more than qualified. Metronics is being used for first article inspection and Matt Reinhard, CEO of Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies (AMT,) praises its capabilities wholeheartedly.

The Metronics JDTA is just as significant as the GE JDTA and probably more when the automotive industry gets involved.

Lastly, thank you all for the kind words. I'll try to keep up with the updates.
