Wall Street open seen steady , with home sales ahead
MADRID (MarketWatch) — Wall Street was veering towards a largely flat open for Monday as the year’s remaining trading hours wind down, with data ahead expected to show a rebound in pending home sales.
Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (CBE JH4) rose 4 points to 16,425, while those for the S&P 500 index (GLC:SPH4) eased 0.4 point to 1,836.10. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index (GLC:NDH4) fell 1.5 points to 3,568.75.
At 10 a.m. Eastern Time, the National Association of Realtors will report on pending home sales for November. Economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires are forecasting the gauge to rise 1% after a 0.6% fall in October. An increase would come after five months of declines. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/wall-street-...atest_news
